Apiary
Apiary is a beekeeper owned cafe & bar located on the border of Brighton & Hove, directly opposite Norfolk Square.
The passion for bees & beekeeping is obvious as you step into this intimate space, with the decor drawing inspiration from the natural environment in which the bees live. Natural wood tones & honeycomb patterns adorn the walls & bar, while the soft "beehive" lighting gives a warming glow to the space.
The menu draws equal amounts of inspiration from bees, with honey laced-small plates & cocktails, an extensive mead list, and honey beers to complete the set.
Using products that are either carbon neutral or negative, organic, bio-dynamic &/or b-corp certified, the cocktail menu is both innovative & imaginative, with the signature 'Honeygroni' blending Honeybush Gin with Beesou, Botivo, & Meadow Vermouth, before being topped with a homemade honeycomb biscuit.
If it is food you are after, then you are not short of options either. Whether you are after Whipped Feta with Honey & Pistachio Flatbreads, or Black Tiger Prawns with Guajillo Chilli & Leatherwood Honey, you can eat until your heart is content on these flavour-bomb dishes.
Apiary also offers breakfast Friday-Sunday, serving Skylark Coffee, homemade pastries, and a breakfast menu that can compete with the best in town (did someone say Breakfast Kebab?!).
